CITY OF ST. LOUIS CDA - ARCHITECTURAL MANAGER



Department: Community Development Administration The Community Development Administration (CDA) serves as the City of St. Louis’ clearinghouse for federal, state, and local funds. CDA works to implement the Mayor's economic justice agenda by funding a wide range of public and nonprofit entities to provide public services, build affordable housing, combat blight, and conduct various other community development activities.

Salary

  • Minimum: $64,844.00

  • Maximum: $142,272.00

Position Specifications

Incumbents in this position are responsible for planning and supervising the development, production and the delivery of professional architectural design functions and supervising a multi-disciplined staff.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a nationally accredited college or university; plus five years of professional experience as an Architect which includes at least two years of experience working in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

Registration: Registration as a Professional Architect in the State of Missouri or registration in another state with eligibility for reciprocity in Missouri.

License: Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Please note type of license, number, class, and expiration date on the Employment Application.

Documentation of academic credentials and Registration as a Professional Architect must be submitted upon request.

Your employment experience and training will be used to determine whether you meet the entrance requirements for this position and to compute your experience and training evaluation. VETERAN'S PREFERENCE POINTS: To be eligible for veteran's preference points, the applicant must submit a copy of their DD 214 Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty with the Employment Application or upon request. The Director of Personnel may, in their discretion, accept alternate documentation.

CITY RESIDENTS PREFERENCE POINTS: City residents who pass an examination for a position in the classified service and do not receive any other preference will receive a five (5) point preference on a scale of 100 points on the exam. An additional one (1) point shall be added to the passing score of City residents who receive any other preference on a scale of 100 points. City residents must have resided in the City for at least one (1) year at the time of filing their application to be eligible for the preference points.
